Caswell McLaughlinCaswell McLaughlin

After these great accomplishments, Caswell reconnected with his musical calling and started to work with a music label part time. Being the kind of person he is, he made suggestion for improvement but this was taken wrongly and Caswell decided to move on. It was back to school again, this time though to study Music Business Management. He was motivated to do this because he noticed while Caribbean people love music, they were not fully understanding the business side of things. After completing his studies, he was hired by the Mountain Edge Band as their manager. These individuals were who gave him a head start on the Canadian music market with introductions to high end promoters and other prominent music personnel. He was still working his day job so multitasking was at its best in Caswell’s life to make it all work.

With the band as partner, Caswell started the Brampton Talent Show which was a success. It was going pretty well until once again it got sour and he had to part ways with them.  Things looked a bit down again on the music side but picked up once he got a call from promoters he had worked with who now wanted him on their planning board for their summer event. After the summer he was approached with a proposal to manage a talented vocalist by the name of Dhalia Anderson who he mentored and coaxed into the right direction. Let’s just say as time went by and with the help of others she began gracing stages with the likes of Mr. Vegas, Shaggy, Beenie Man and much more. Around this time Caswell also became acquainted with Faze who is a music engineer, producer and artiste plus Norval a talented vocalist. His business relationship with them is ongoing.

Caswell was issued a government award from the government representative in his area for his contribution and involvement in the community. He has been guest speaker at numerous public speaking events, this is inclusive of motivational speeches at high schools in the city he resides. He no longer sings but writes, manages, produces and operates a label with main focus on the genres R&B, Reggae, Gospel and Pop. The name of the label is Breakthrough Records and was established in 2007. He recently added a publishing arm called 3P Entertainment. Caswell believes in family and continues to be a great father to his two sons who are practically adults now in their own rights and he maintains a close relationship with his mother. This charitable and motivated businessman is not stopping until he reaches the top and as we have read, I'm sure you would agree he will definitely get there.
