Being a manager of various musicians over the years and running a music label, all pushed him into this direction. His desire is to see the brand become an industry name, referred to by all popular and established individuals.
Meet The Director
Born Caswell McLaughlin on December 7th 1967, in Kingston Jamaica, this songwriter, producer, I.T. Specialist and father of two wonderful sons is above the ordinary. Caswell spent his earlier years with his mother in Rema, Trench Town and then at the age of five she sent him to live with his aunt and uncle in Bito. While living with them in the country, he learned a lot, from discipline and respect to gaining good grades in school. This was when Caswell found his love for songwriting and singing. After three years with them, he went back to reside with his mother and attended the St. Alban Primary School; there he was quickly discovered as a singer and became the lead act for the school’s choir. He competed in song competitions for his school on the parish level which he won and went on to compete against other schools on a national level, representing Kingston and St. Andrew but due to stage fright, was only placed fourth.
Caswell McLaughlin - Director of 3P Entertainment
Caswell was not only talented but also great at academics. He passed the primary level Common Entrance Exam at age nine and was awarded a government scholarship for the Wolmer’s Boys School. Following this he received another scholarship to Reading, England where he gained a college diploma in Electronic Engineering.
Caswell migrated to Canada in 1992 but had to do a lot of travelling as he was working in Jamaica and running other businesses as well. In this time, he was also learning more about the music business. Caswell had the opportunity to be around the likes of Beenie Man, Ninja Man, Shabba Ranks, Michael Rose, Junior Reid, and Carlene Davis; through the social settings of his brother, he also met Jimmy Cliff and the Marley Family.
In 1995 Caswell decided to try living fulltime in Canada; his first goal was to find a recording studio which he did and recruited some female vocalists with whom he recorded some songs. Following this there was a major setback when he met up with an associate he knew from Jamaica and decided to do business with the person. That didn’t end well. Seeing how things were he got himself a job, at one time even working two jobs to save a nice sum so he could take care of immigration matters for his son. This he did then dropped one of the job to attend college fulltime while working the night shift. Hard work paid off and Caswell obtained two additional diplomas in Computer Engineering and Network Engineering. Music though, would not leave him be as it continued to swim through his veins.
